GHG and energy in Ottawa
Ottawa could use local sources of energy for heating its buildings and employ local storage of electricity to greatly reduce the cost of power. These two functions are linked together in Exergy Storage systems so it is essential that the City and Ottawa Hydro work together to implement such a concept. The advantages would be the reduction (and eventual elimination) of GHG attributable to the Buildings and Power sectors, and a very large reduction in the costs of both thermal and electrical power.
